I personally think that a better description of sin can be found on the Carm.org website and does a better job of explaining it. If the doctrine of sin is not clearly explained, many cannot grasp how great a sacrifice and how great the gift that was given to sinful man at Calvary.

"Sin is anything that is contrary to the law or will of God. For example: if you lie, you have sinned. Why? Because God has said not to lie (Exodus 20:16). If you do what God has forbidden, then you have sinned. In addition, if you do not do what God has commanded, you sin (James 4:17). Either way, the result is eternal separation from God (Isaiah 59:2). Sin is lawlessness (1 John 1:3) and unrighteousness (1 John 5:17). Sin leads to bondage (Rom. 6:14-20) and death (Rom. 6:23).

Paul, in the book of Romans, discusses sin. He shows that everyone, both Jew and Greek, is under sin (Rom. 3:9). He shows that sin is not simply something that is done, but a condition of the heart (Rom. 3:10-12). In Ephesians Paul says that we are "by nature children of wrath" (Eph. 2:3). Yet, "while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly," (Rom. 5:6)."

Your explanation of sin makes it appear that everyone and anyone will go on to glory because of Christ's finished work on the cross. That can create a false sense of security for a person who may not have ever put their faith in Christ alone for their salvation. I agree with L.M. that I don't think you have clearly defined the Gospel (the Good News) and have caused more confusion for a person who is seeking real answers for their spiritual condition. :-)

Jesus is a man as well as God... and Paul is a man with the Holy Spirit. He was sent to fulfill the word of God.. making his words just as important because they were said by the Holy Spirit, which is God.

"Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;"
Colossians 1:25 KJV

Hmmm.. Interesting read.. However, a few comments or queries.
Gospel, what does that mean? Good news, yes. Jesus came to share/preach/be it yess. But what is "it" exactly? (Opinion) I think people have mis-perceived it, like a lot of things. For myself, the essence of it is love.
My perception, Initially, "Christians" try to "preach" Calvary - when/how Jesus died on the cross to save us. Yes, but I never recall him "preaching" it publicly, he only taught/shared himself with those whom he were intimate with. However, he did preach about God and a divine Kingdom he has. (Again, referring back, essence is LOVE. God is LOVE, this Kingdom he has is LOVE. Before anything, God is LOVE, in the purist form). (For me) Jesus came to "preach" LOVE. (Pause) When I say preach, the mind automatically presumes "talk/speech", however its not what it means. If he came to "preach" the Gospel, what about the deaf? Yes, he could heal the deaf, but what about us "preaching" this Gospel? . . . Preach, and old proverb says - "actions speak louder than words" = preach/act/be love. Therefore, I believe he came to be love, in the purist form, and preached love, in the purist form. (How??) E.g Blind, I love you be/receive love - healed, cripple, i love you be healed, 5000 hungry? I love you, gimme those fish and bread, BANG, fed. Separated from intimately knowing the Father because of sin, gimme a cross, because He LOVES, bang, sin paid for.
So if one pays for something, its paid for and not an issue anymore, like a court fine/debt?? Sooo, why do we consistently talk/feel like we live in it when hes already paid for the debt? Eradicate sin?? Was that a slap in Gods face, practically saying "your sons blood was not good enough, maybe my extra works may get me in your good books/Kingdom"??? ... Or was that sentence meaning, eradicate the mindset of people thinking they're living in sin?? Because. . . . . He already paid for it, so if anything all we have to do is focus on our relationship with our Father. LOVE. The carnal mind is always distracted by sin and focal on sin - the devils work. God is love, pure love. In saying that, God created us out of love, to receive and give love, to be "Godly - God like", to receive love, love others and love him back. e.g Angels are not like God, we are like God, because we have a spirit, like God, Angels don't.
(Again for myself) All he wants is a pure true relationship with him, not for us to be preoccupied with sin - because its paid for.
Relationship, an honest one, not to play holy holy or "Church", not that church is a bad thing, but again, for my self, it has been "mis-perceived" of its essence over time. Remembering him, confessing he is Chist, Lord, God, and thats good enough. If "you" want to pursue him, out of your own free will, then do so. Free will/choice. Not because yo parents, partners, pastor, peers expect/told you to or a feeling of guilt. Thats not LOVE/of God. Thats a forced/pressured relationship, not a pure one, and hes God, he will know. Confess and remember him, and that is good enough. No? Last moments before Jesus left his physical body from the cross, two crucified next to him, one of the confessed/believed/had faith Jesus was who he said he was and was told to remember him - thats all. No prayer of "salvation", no reading the bible, church group attendance, evangelize, heal people etc, to enter his Kingdom, but confess and remember him - and that good enough!
Religious acts/works, for me, are a slap in his face to earn good standing for God. Also, its to impress man, not God. God does not need impressing, God LOVES us alreadyyy, and just wants us to be intimate with him! Honestly (he can tell), not guilt driven, fear, etc but out of LOVE, - what n who he is. No??? Well, he sent his baby to die for us. Realistically, God came himself and died for us, period, thats love.

Truth is, he wants us to be LOVE, think love, act love, be preoccupied with love, and be love. How to be love? Treat those, how you would like to be treated. Treating people like a brother/sister, and being love. Ready to do for them, regardless why, where, when, what or who they are . . . and on a cross maybe. Thats love.

Love
L.M

(Im not saying im right, these are just some of my views/beliefs/faith. If one wants to correct me, correct me using HIS word, I welcome it, I love learning. Not the Bible, thats God through man, but His word through Him. Jesus. Correct me from his words, his teaching, actions).

I saw two of your videos on FB...one where you spoke to those burned by the church & the second on not acting out of the same religious spirit as those we disagree with. I LOVED both of them.

My husband and I feel the same as you and how refreshing to listen to your msgs. We have tried "church" many times and it always ends in us being shunned because we have not agreed with the direction of those fellowships. When we share (even in love) our feelings, we have been shunned.

We decided to host a home Prayer/Soaking night once a week over a year ago. It hasn't grown like I thought it would but God has been teaching us "never despise humble beginnings". We also started a website, not exactly sure of all God wants us to do with it yet, so still seeking His wisdom. We know that one day at a time with obedience to His direction His plan will be revealed.

However, there are times I feel guilty and shamed for not being part of a fellowship. Watching your videos really encouraged me and I wanted to thank you! We will continue to follow the path God has us on and listen to His voice and direction rather than "man's".

Tender Mercies,
